Description

Mayrhofen has long been a favourite with the British. The resort has no runs to the village and the lift out to the slopes can get quite busy in high season and weekends. A very pretty village that's quite large and very noisy nightlife is available should you need it, but can easily be avoided if not. The ski school here has an enviable reputation as does the childrens club. This is why it's popular with families. Although a low lying resort the snow cover has a fairly good record and boosted by the Hintertux glacier nearby.

Ziller Valley, secretly called the "most active valley in the world", is situated in the heart of Tyrol with the Ziller Valley Alps, directly on the border with South Tyrol. The relatively flat valley is full of possibilities! 650 kilometres of piste, 170 lifts, and snow security at 3,250 m – welcome to Ziller Valley! The "Zillertaler Superskipass" is valid for all 650 km in the Ziller, Gerlos, and Tux valleys. The valleys are all perfectly connected with the free ski bus, which allows you to fully enjoy the pistes. Mayrhofen - skiing "Made in Austria"!

Mayrhofen, located towards the back of Ziller Valley and in the heart of Tyrol, is one of the best loved winter sports regions in Austria. It offers near to perfect free time activities: relax at the indoor pool with sauna area, sport lovers can try out ice skating, German curling, cross-country skiing, tennis and squash. Adrenaline junkies will love the tobogganing and water slides, while those wanting a bit of culture will enjoy the theatre, cinema, or various folklore evenings. The special après ski experience can be made in the White Lounge at the Ahornberg. Mayrhofen is also a great resort for families, as the offers catering children are very diverse. Accommodation in Mayrhofen is arranged in cosy pensions, well-kept apartments, and comfortable guesthouses and hotels.
