Description

Saalbach is renowned for being one of Austia's best ski areas in terms of the excellent range of piste. The area has 200kms of piste available, catering well for most abilities. Hinterglemm and Leogang are interconnected to the resort. The village centre has all the character that you come to expect of an Austrian ski village, and it's fair share of nightlife. On good powder days it offers tremendous off piste opportunities. Alternatively, soak up the sunny slopes in one of the many mountain restaurants whilst you enjoy the fantastic views.

In the heavenly Salzburger Land and in the middle of the Glemm Valley lies the Saalbach-Hinterglemm region. The area is still part of the well-known Kitzbüheler Alps and offers a diverse range of recreational activities. The highest peaks are the Spiegelhorn (2,044 m) and the Hochkogl (2,249 m).

Whether you want to meander down the slopes in the "footsteps" of the world champions, jump airs in the half-pipe or savour fantastic deep snow descents - you are in good hands at the site of the 1991 alpine skiing championships. Due to a bypass tunnel, a pedestrian zone was able to be built in the entire town area, which has improved recrational opportunities. And when it gets dark, the nightlife buzzes in numerous huts, bars, pubs and restaurants.
