Situated in the stunning locale of the Aravis Massif, this traditional French town has been an alpine ski resort since the 1920’s. The attractive town centre is built around an early 19th-century church and a fast flowing mountain stream. La Clusaz boasts a number of character properties set amongst the trees as well as numerous new constructions, the architecture of which is sympathetic to the towns. It draws back its French and British visitor’s year on year allured by its alpine charm and the fact that it is one of the prettiest, most established resorts in the French Alps.
There is plenty to do during the summer and a regular local bus service operates to the resorts of Le Grand Bornand, Thones and Annecy. La Clusaz offers a full range of activities, including mountain biking, outdoor swimming, a sports centre, tennis, golf, volleyball, summer luge, ice skating and there is a children's village for 15 years and under. La Clusaz is one of the top resorts in France for alpine walking and hiking, you can access the mountain via cable car and follow the many printed routes provided by the local tourist office.
