During the summer months St Martin de Belleville has a fantastic range of things to see and do, and will keep even the most active enthusiast busy. The pretty resort centre becomes a hustle and bustle of people, wandering around the quaint village centre or taking in the relaxed atmosphere amongst the restaurants and cafes.
If you choose to go outside of the village and take part in the mountain activities, here is just a selection of the activities on offer:
Mountaineering, hiking, climbing, Guides walking & cycling/mountain biking routes using the cable cars of the area. Via Ferrata, night in a refuge, to name but a few. For families with children, there is the Childrens Mountain Club, organised by the "Bureau des Guides", this club helps children of 6 to 13 to understand and discover mountain's ambiance. Every week, from Monday to Friday and from 9h to 17 h, a guide looks after young holiday makers and teaches them about mountain life. Discover nature (flora and fauna), climbing, "tyrolienne", adventure circuit, summer sledging, meal & night in a refuge, via ferrata, canyoning. For all ages have a go at the Adventure Circuit, a high level circuit, with about 30 fun and sporty challengers, which can be enjoyed in complete safety.
For around 30euros per person per week, you can buy the multi-leisure pass for the Belleville area, which includes Val Thorens and Les Menuires and gives you free access to a whole host of activities and events as well as reduced prices to the non included ones.
