Description

Courmayeur is one of the most famous resorts in the Val 'Aoste, situated at the foot of the Mount Blanc mountain range, 1224 m above sea level. The beauty of the surrounding countryside, the modern facilities whichallow summer skiing and its privileged location have made Courmayeur one of the most popular Alpine resorts in Italy. Chic, famous mountain village, situated at the foot of a mountain with beautiful view, 37 km north from Aosta. In the resort: supermarket, shops, grocers, boutiques, bank, restaurant, bar, cinema. Thermal pool.

2 funicular railways connect Courmayeur and Entreves to the Courmayeur-Checrouit-Val Veny where you can enjoy wonderful views of Mont Blanc. 4 mountain railways, 1 cable cabin, 8 chair lifts for 100 km of pistes. For those who love cross country skiing, the Ferret valley has 35 km of lcross country ski rails. Calais 920 km. Planned dates for 2007/8: resort opens 8 Dec 2007. Resort closes 25 Apr 2008 (tbc). Ski region Monte Bianco/Mont Blanc, total of 20 lifts. 25 ski runs, snowboard piste, snow park, halfpipe. Ski school, snowboard school, childrens ski school. Cross country ski tracks. Winter golf course.
