Description

The impressive mountain range of the Lienz Dolomites rises directly South of Lienz (673 m). The historic town has 12.000 inhabitants and looks back on a long history. Besides a stroll through the medieval town centre, an exploration of multiple cultural sights is recommendable. You could, for example, visit either the St. Michael church (14th century), the St. Andrä church (15th century), or the Franciscan church. The Castle Bruck from the 13th century, which has been constructed on a knoll, is also worth seeing. The town also attracts with multiple shopping facilities and a great variety of restaurants and cafés. Last but not least, there are many recreational facilities to enjoy after a long day of skiing like clubs, bars, and cinemas.
