beautiful Lake Bled in the north-west of Slovenia is one of the most picturesque ski resort. The resort centre is tranquil and charming, offering splendid views of the Julian Alps as it's back drop. The skiing is accessible via a 30 minute bus ride - free with your lift pass - and is great for beginners.
