Description
Cerkno ski area has the only covered chairlifts in Slovenia: the Lom 6-chair and the Brdo 4-chair. The area lies on the slopes of 1,291m Mount Srni Vrh, offering 15km of groomed terrain and Cerkno is completely covered with artificial snow making. Cerkno is suitable for skiers of all skill levels.
Situated in Western Slovenia just outside Triglav National Park, and Julian Alps, Cerkno is one of Slovenia's best kept secrets for skiing and all year round activities. Where the Gorenjska region ends and the Primorska region begins, you'll find the village of Cerkno.
The town of Cerkno is 10kms from the slopes and is linked to the ski centre by bus.
Cerkno is the best equipped and most modern ski resort for families and groups in Slovenia. It has the fastest and only covered chair lift in Slovenia.
At 1300m high it offers 18km of well groomed pistes, 5km of cross country trails and snow cannons that guarantee 70 days skiing a season.
From 2009/10 Snezni Park intended for beginners and experienced surfers and acrobatic skiers.
