Description

SItuated in Western Slovenia, just outside the Triglav National Park, and Julian Alps, Cerkno offers plenty of trails for summer walking and mountain biking trials. The Cerkljansko hills which surround the resort are covered with mountain trails.

The highest reaches Mount Porezen at 1630m and hikers can visit the peaks of Crni Vrh, Belgos, to name but a few. Nearby are the Franha Partisan Hospital, Ravenska Jame Cave (famous for it's araognite formations), Zokajca (birthplace of the writer France Bevk).

The are many opportunities for mountain biking, hunting, fishing, horse riding and cycling tours (see below)

Cycling Tours:
The Idrija and Cerkno hills are every cyclist's dream. Choose an easy and short trail, or challenge yourself to a long and difficult one where a high level of fitness is required, but the climbs of the nearby summits will be worth it once you experience the unforgettable views! There are also plenty of treats for the downhill fans as well.

A lovely peaceful unspoilt natural environment, with clean rivers and warm people.
