Originally built in 1680 to provide fruit and vegetables for the local Château La Ferme du Château now finds itself in the centre of the lively French village of La Chapelle d’Abondance within easy walking distance of the local amenities including 2 of the best restaurants in the valley, a real ale pub and some of the best skiing and hiking country in the Alps.

We have spent the last 12 months renovating the property to transform the traditional old Savoyard farmhouse into luxury accommodation offering all the benefits of modern comfort yet retaining the beautiful architecture of the region. We believe that our clients old and new will love the property for its spaciousness, comfort and above all else homely feel.

La Ferme du Château has 6 en-suite bedrooms, all of which have shower and bath facilities, all of which can be either twin or double bedded and 4 of which can be family rooms with plenty of space for additional beds and access to a south facing balcony and sunken jacuzzi.

The main living and dining area is in the old ‘grange’ of the farmhouse which makes it very spacious, light, with high ceilings and 4 French windows leading to a second south facing balcony. This area offers lots of comfy sofas all centred around a stunning log burning fire making it the ideal spot in which to chill, relax, nibble the canapés and sip your aperitif!

Excellent food, wine and service are our speciality .We offer a cooked breakfast along with fruit and cereals each morning, homemade cakes and biscuits with afternoon tea each day and an excellent 4 course evening meal with specifically chosen wine on 6 evenings. Children’s supper is available for the younger skier and we will accommodate any particular dietary requirements.

Comfort is an important part of any holiday, after a day on the slopes we all want to come back to our accommodation and chill out before dinner or going out in the evening.

Savoie Faire aims to provide the most comfortable environment possible. For those staying at La Ferme du Château this includes transfers on a Sunday when the roads and airports are less busy, transport to the resort in private minibuses straight to the chalet,
5 en suite rooms with plenty of hot water, deep sofa's around the log fire and lots of little extras to make your time with us as comfortable as possible.

La Ferme du Château is run by Christine, co-owner of the property – and her Savoie Faire team and she is on hand 24/7 to ensure that you have the holiday you want. We will organise all lift passes, equipment hire, lessons and childcare programs so that you spend your time relaxing and having fun. If you have non skiers in your party or particular requirements – special birthday, company event etc, then we will be happy to organise the necessary!
A holiday at La Ferme du Château whether for a week or just a weekend is your holiday and we will do our utmost to ensure that it is the best.

we offer the chalet on a catered, self catered or B&B basis. Winter is Sunday-Sunday, with short breaks available anyday to Sunday. Summer is available any day of the week. The Farmhouse is situated in the centre of La Chapelle with the nearest ski lift only 100m away, and only 500m to the lift to access the Portes de Soleil ski area. The ski bus stop is outside the chalet, but we do provide you with transport to the lifts so this is not needed. We can also pre-order any passes, organise lessons and ski hire.

Although Savoie Faire is a new company, I have been running chalets in this region for the last 6 years working for Snowfocus
- a leading ski company with awards for its childcare programs.

Savoie Faire operates a fully catered chalet, La Ferme du
Château, and also provides self catered accommodation for those who prefer to be a little more independent. Our core theme is : comfort, relaxation and fun. All of our accommodation is designed to a high standard and we are based in La Chapelle d’Abondance itself and are therefore on hand to help you find your way around and organise lessons, passes, ski hire, etc.
