Chalet Etoile is a large and luxurious, modern (finished November 2008) chalet located in Chinaillon, the upper station of Le Grand Bornand in the French Alps. With magnificent uninterrupted views of the mountains and the pistes, Chalet Etoile is the perfect spot for a self catering family skiing holiday in the winter months. In the summer it is ideally placed for walking, mountain biking, climbing and the Tour de France! It is very peaceful, yet close to all the amenities of a top resort. Le Grand Bornand is located in the heart of the Aravis chain of mountains, less than an hour's drive from Geneva Airport.

This brand new large 4/5 bedroom self-catering family ski chalet, has been designed specifically to accommodate 2 families, and is situated within walking distance of the pistes, the shops and restaurants in the village. The chalet is set in large grounds with magnificent uninterrupted views of the mountains and the pistes. The chalet is managed by an English managing agent based in the area.

4/5 bedroom luxury self-catering chalet, sleeping 10-12 guests
10 minute walk from the pistes, or 3 minutes on the ski bus that stops outside the chalet
10 minute walk to shops and restaurants in the village of Chinaillon

4 bedrooms upstairs and a 5th bed/TV room with en suite bathroom on the ground floor
2 bathrooms with WC, 1 shower room, and 2 seperate WC's
a large sitting room with flat screen TV, surround sound, quality CD player and ipod dock
a large well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar
a large garden with BBQ and parking for 3 or 4 cars

(Two of the bedrooms have king size beds, and two have been specially designed to accommodate between 3 and 4 children or adults)

A full size basement houses a utility room, ski and boot room and, sometime in the future, a games room (hopefully summer 2010) and plenty of storage space.

Chalet Etoile is situated in Chinaillon, which is often described as the second floor of the village of Le Grand Bornand. Less than an hour's drive from Geneva airport Le Grand Bornand is ideally situated. Chalet Etoile is a stand alone new build chalet, built to the highest standard. It is set in a magnificent location with uninterrupted views of the valley and the pistes. It is a very peaceful location, yet is close to all the shops and restaurants in the village. It is self catering, and is located as the crow flies just a couple of hundred meters from the nearest ski lift.

The location of the “Torrent du Chinaillon” which lies between the chalet and the pistes, hinders direct access to this lift, but it is only a minute’s drive or 10 minutes walk to the main body of ski lifts where there is ample parking. The very efficient ski bus drives past the chalet at least every 10-15 minutes (more at peak times) and stops at the top of the drive. There are a number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk, along with a bakery, pharmacy, several ski shops, and the Spar! Several local restaurants do take away pizza and Savoyard meals, and the Spar has internet shopping, with delivery to the chalet. The Spar is run by fluent English speakers, who will supply fantastic Fondues and Raclettes for you to prepare at home at a fraction of the cost of eating out.

She is a fluent English and French speaker and she is the only person authorised to accept any payment for rentals of Chalet Etoile. We have friends whose chalet has been fraudulently advertised on sites such as Craigslist. Any other individual posing as our agent is doing so fraudulently. Please be wary of who you give money to.
