Things to do
Rila National Park - Home to rare and endangered wildlife
Originally a small fishing village used by Bulgarian kings, Borovets later went on to become Bulgaria's first mountain resort. Used as an established winter ski resort the summer brings an explosion of colour and opens up a spectacular flora and fauna display that winter visitors do not see. Mountain biking and hiking are available along with other outdoor activities, so you can choose to be as active or inactive as you please.
