Description

With its famous cliff top medievel castle, Bled is known for its friendly people, breathtaking scenery, excellent standards of hotels and much more. You can stroll around the lake or take one of the large gondola type boats to the island where you can visit the ornate church and ring its bell. There is regular entertainment organised by the local tourist office throughout the season including concerts, firework displays and craft fairs. Sample the delicious Kreme Schnitte, a sweek speciality available in the cafes on the lake shore. When visiting in July, you may be lucky to witness Rickli's Days festival, a unique display of thousands of floating candles on the lake.
