Description
Lake Traunsee is located in the Salzkammergut Lake District. 4.5 miles long and only 1.5 miles wide at its longest piont, it adorns some pretty villages on its picturesque shores. Traunkirchen juts outs into the lake and is dominated by its attractive church whilst Altmunster is a cosy village, which houses a bicycle museum and wildlife park, Ebensee lying on the southern shores is a pretty market town. All resorts offer lakeside activities and Traunkirchen and Altmunster have small natural beaches.
