Description

Known as one of Italy's most beautiful lakes, Lake Maggiore straddles the Swiss Italian border. There are a handful of resorts located around the lake, all offer colourful cafes, enchanting centres and set against the backdrop of this beautiful area. Stresa is the main town which offers plenty to do, whilst Baveno has a relaxing atmosphere and picturesque promenade. The main commercial centre of Pallanza which dates back to Roman times, has an attraction that draws visitors back year after year. regular ferries connect the resorts and a visit to the floral splenda of the three little lakes located on the lake is a must.
