Located in the Carnic Alps, Nassfeld ski area is a little known gem, but has so much to offer. The superb snow record, combined with excellent intermediate skiing makes it an ideal choice for your winter holiday. The two main villages of Tropolach & Sonnenalpe are bases for the 110km ski area.
One of the great benefits of this area is the non ski activities, making it fun in the snow for all ages. Ever tried your hand at snow tubing, snow biking, snow scooter, airboarding and many more, plus tobogganing, sledging & skating. On Wednesday evening from beginning of January to March, the Carnia Run has floodlit skiing. (extra cost, please see tourist office website for further details)
Beginners are catered for in the village of Sonnenalpe, and if staying in Tropolach you will begin your lessons at the top of the Millenium Express gondola. Intermediates are in their element with a wide range of pistes offering all kinds of challenges. Advanced skiers will find a number of black runs (off piste), or you can try touring or telemark.
Snowboarders are offered two parks, snow-cross-park (Watschiger Alm) with rails, boxen & kicker, snowboardpark (Garnitzen)with quarter pipes/high jumps & a 200m halfpipe at(Gartnerfokel)
